Joinery: How to restore faded aluminium joinery

How to restore faded aluminium joinery.  The Test Kit contains 2 x 60mL cans of clear coating. One of each NATURAL GLOSS and SATIN.

Each can provides coating to cover with one (1) coat to 10 to 15 lineal metres of faded aluminium joinery 75mm to 100mm wide, or just over one (1) square metre.  Ideal Kit size for a very small project and for deciding which finish for a large project.

You can test to see what the finished result will be by wetting and cleaning an area. Observe this area while it is wet because this is the result you will get when the coating is applied.
Two (2) coats are required for surfaces subject to sunny conditions.

NATURAL GLOSS is a popular finish for light colours and mid tones. e.g. Karaka Green, New Denim Blue, Grey Friars, Light Grey, White etc.

SATIN is usually chosen for the dark colours. e.g. Ironsand, Charcoal, Flaxpod Black. Also be used on mid tones like Grey Friars, New Denim Blue and Karaka Green.

Other Projects/Substrates:

Corten and Mild Steels require a minimum 3 coats (indoors) or 4+ coats (outdoors)
Copper and Bronze with Patina (outdoors) requires 3 coats.
Fibreglass Boats – Above the waterline 2 coats; Below the waterline 3 coats.
Fibreglass and Hard Plastics – 1 to 2 coats
